As Classic as a Polkadot

Polka dots are one of those styles that will always be trendy, it never goes out of style, season after season, its a classic. As usual, I was casually browsing/window shopping at HM when I spotted this dress, I knew I had to get it, it was also discounted, I got it for half the price. I think the discount was the tipping point, it was originally £35 but I ended up paying £17.50 for it, YAASSS! I am such a bargain head I swear. Continue reading As Classic as a Polkadot

How to Style Dress over Pant

Before I talk about styling dress over pant, its women’s week  this week and I want to shout out and big up all the women out here today bossing it, setting their own trail and blazing it in spite of and against all the odds. It’s a man’s world, it doesn’t matter how you spin it. I am super thankful for the women who stood up and challenged status quo, who refused to conform, who sacrificed and fought so we can enjoy the privileges we   enjoy today. I am thankful for the every day woman, working her ass off, hustling , making ends meet, you all inspire me. Continue reading How to Style Dress over Pant

Street Style

Its fashion week right now, New York, Milan and London has come and gone and right now the buzz is at Paris. I haven’t been catching up with this year’s fashion week scene unfortunately, I have just been so busy lately. I have caught some glimpse here and there on Instagram though. I hope to catch up when I can.

I didn’t get to attend any but this outfit right here reminds me of street style fashion. It’s something that I would definitely go for if I was to attend, its showy without being peacocky, its trendy but classic. The beret lends it its trendy air and the trench keeps it classic. This blazer is my mans’, he hasn’t worn it in a while, its velvet, its lush and I have been eyeing it for some time. I have however managed a party or two and I thought I share what I wore with you guys incase you are luckier than I am and have loads of party but not sure what to wear. The outfit above I wore to the hubby’s  company annual christmas dinner. I love love the color and the tuck detail on the top, satin makes my face glow is another thing I have discovered.
