Honestly In my head, Bohemian hairdo = fashionista (I think the same thing of the turban look too) . I love the eccentricity it adds to an outfit, it makes me feel like I can wear anything and get away with it. Like I could decide to mix prints or wear a bustier bodysuit with a long ass black skirt and get away with it.
I got this skirt at a very ridiculously cheap price, it was just another long ass black skirt lost in the midst of many, seriously who wears such long skirts these days anyways? Well unless you are a CU student, lol! (my Naija people get the joke). I spotted the skirt and automatically fell in love with the high waist, upon further inspection, I discovered it was Givenchy too, trust I was absolutely SOLD! Ofcourse, I kept a straight face, priced the skirt, paid the pittance and walked away with a huge huge grin on my face, I mean its not everyday one stumbles upon a Givenchy find while thrifting.

This is the second time ever I am wearing this shorts since I got them last year, I have got lots of clothes like this in my wardrobe therefore I have compelled myself to shop my closet more this month instead of fixating on buying new stuff. In that vein, I dug this bermuda shorts out of my closet. What attracted me to the shorts initially was the prints, loved it on first sight, got it during one my thrifting bouts last year. I decided to go risque by pairing it with stripes, this combination got my sister rolling her eyes once again but atleast this time she thought it was cool. Yay! What do you think guys? Is it a yay? or ? Continue reading What I wore – Bermuda Shorts
Its the weekend again, do you have weddings, parties to attend? Get inspired by these looks I put together . I initially set out to do one look out of boredom but I loved all three of those skirts and decided to feature all three of them together. You love the styling?
This post was inspired by the mustard dress. I love this colour so much right about now. Its very bright and cheery and doesn’t need too much color as it already is a statement on its own. The royal blue clutch contrasts perfectly against the bright plum. You could wear this outfit to a wedding, movie premiere and stay classy. This is my very first Polyvore post. I think I found a new past time :D. What do you think of my selection?

Because I have been obsessing over Ezinne’s style for a while now and have been collecting her pictures where and when I can, I figure we might as well start with her. She is an A list fashion stylist having worked with celebrities such as Genevieve Nnaji, Monalisa Chinda to mention but a few, Oh and she was also one of the stylist behind the just concluded 2013 Miss Nigeria pageant,
She is currently fashion editor at Genevieve magazine after so many months at Wow Magazine where she shunned out powerful editorials after editorials. Anyway without so much ado, guys I present Ezinne Chinkata to you. So what do you think? Are you Inspired yet?

I unconsciously can never keep everything neutral, I always have to introduce an element of fun in form of color. In this case, I had to introduce the colorful crayon neckpiece. I am really serving poses in this pictures, blame it on the camera. Lol! Continue reading Keeping it Neutral

According to the great psychologist Erik Erickson
, who propounded the psycho-social theories of development believes that personality develops in series of stages. His theory describes the impact of social experience across the whole life span
There are 8 major stages in this theory; the first 5 stages of which are before the age of 18 while the remaining 3 spreads across age 19 till death.
For this year, we found the inspiration for our 2013/2014 collection themed “ITELE” BY MAXIVIVE from the last two stages of psycho-social development which are:
The former which explains how we tend to settle down within a relationship, begin our families, develop a sense of being part of a bigger picture and also giving back to the society through our productivity, community activities and children. Failure to achieve these objectives we stagnate.
On the other hand, ego integrity vs. despair, explains how we tend to slow down our productivity and explore life as a retired person. it’s during this time that we contemplate our accomplishment and develop our integrity if we see ourselves living a successful life, the reverse which is despair. In a lay-man’s language debrief of the relationship between psychology and fashion in this collection is the revolution of a man’s career all around the world returning to his homeland after gaining his “ego integrity” with enough ideas, fabrics, techniques, and experience all put together in a well thought-out manner to produce each exclusive piece in the collection and giving it a royal finishing.
“ITELE” by maxivive is a double-capsule collection which consists of earthy colours and a pop-of-colour symbolizing “royalty”. The capsules which are named “ITELE OBA” (king’s shoe) and ITELE IJOYE (chiefs shoes).
I am totally excited, I cant wait to see what’s going to be unveiled.
Funny I have had this Silk print shirt for almost a year, got it during one of my thrifting ventures but somehow just never found the right jean or skirt to wear with it to get that fit I sought. I had almost given up on it when these colorful denim pant came into my life. I got them to pair with my pink jacket but unfortunately both pinks were off. Does this happen to you? I got that pink pant convinced it would work with the blazer, tried both at night in semi darkness, thanks to Nepa or Phcn (my Nigerian readers understand me perfectly here), only to try both out the next morning and realized the colors were off, as in you cannot manage it totally off. Panic mode activated. When stuff like this happens to me, I tend to panic, reason been that I am almost always running late with preparation for work, every second is crucial so any minor setback such as say a stain on the dress or colors not co-ordinating as was the case this day means I am definitely going to be late to work.In panic, I attacked my wardrobe, pulling out different clothes to try out, the ones that seemed like they could work were rumpled, no power to iron them. I was still in my frenzy state, sighing and cursing when the silk shirt fell out. I stared at it in epiphany, picked it up, matched it with the pink pant I still had on and smiled. This would work, I just knew it! I wore them and voila, end product. What do you think?

I am currently lusting these things. I feel like my wardrobe is currently incomplete without these items. I have worn my one denim shirt to death and though I love the faded color it has now acquired, I know that it sorely does need an assistant.
I crave this white blazer from Zara. I am convinced all of my outfit is incomplete without it. I am totally convinced this is the ultimate blazer all my dresses, skirts, shorts and pants need to achieve that total chic look. Sigh!
